Hello everyone. I installed a downpipe (removed the catalyst), an intercooler from TLX-S, removed the speed limiter, and a chip from R2Racing

. The power turned out to be as in the photo. It's already cold here, so I stopped work on improvements until spring. I'm going to install a modified turbine.

Looks Awesome!! The Welcome lights look like a Very Very difficult install from the instructions I have seen (if I am looking in the right place). How was the install, how long did it take you, any difficulties?
The instructions do look intimidating and I just went with the eff it attitude. Installation took about 5.5 hours to install all 4 lights (2 rear, 1 one each side). Biggest difficulty was finding the connectors under the front dash. I took a few breaks and came back before I eventually found them. Other than that, took my time and made sure I re-installed all of the components correctly. Lights are still working fine.

OK, finally installed JB4. It's been cold, it snowed, and I'm lazy.

Running Map 1 for now. Noticeable difference, but not significant, like on my MK7 Golf R. Definitely pulls stronger to redline. I dialed the fuel bias down to 40 per a lot for folks recommendations. Shifts felt fine. Obviously a true ECU tune is going to be smoother, but for merging on the highway, passing, stop light grand prix I'm happy. No lights or anything. Only difficult part was routing the OBD cable through the firewall. I should get some more seat time this weekend.

I just run the obd cable through the door, behind the weather seal. It's equally stealthy and far easier to remove completely for dealer visits. I can take pics of how I run it if you want to see, but it's pretty obvious.

Wait wait wait how remove speed limiter??

Got the recall for the fuel injector re-programming today.

Kinda torn on this. I've had the car for a year with no issues. Dealership is about 45 minutes away. I'm guessing the chances of them doing this in less than an hour while my wife waits is slim. And she has far to demanding of a job to sit around much longer. She can't drive my car (manual trans) so even if I took it she would be stuck, and I can't exactly wait around either, because I too have a demanding job.

So the realistic option is to drop off the car -- 1.5 hour round trip. Then back to pick up the car is another 1.5 round trip. Puts us at 3 hours for a software update that so far, hasn't caused an issue.

I hate having to take the car to the dealership.

Mine took several hours to do from 10am (when I dropped it in) to about 2pm and the dealership insisted that I don’t wait around. No noticeable difference after the recalls were done.

I put new License Plates on My 25 MDX A-Spec Advance - same number, just New Excelsior NY Plates. My older plates were showing signs of wear so I went for it. But like so much in NY - whatta RipOff of $$$$$. The New Plates are more in Synch with the Urban Gray Pearl exterior!! These are not Vanity Plates - that's even a Bigger RipOff!!

Took it in for the recall (2024 MDX TypeS), told them I would be waiting, they said it would take an hour, I pointed to them the recall notice that said 20 minutes, said they had guys at lunch, I politely asked if they could try to get it done by the time I needed to return to work (tried to do this on lunch break), they had it done in about 30 min.

Definitely no noticeable difference.

(edited for spelling)
