Picked up a nail and had to take it in for a fix. . . Picked up this nail, well after making it through all the obstacles that I encountered "off-roading" the Type-S. How's that for irony.

By the way, the employee at Discount/ Americas tire apologized for how long the repair took (wasnt that bad) because he said each time they tried to patch the "goo" within the tire got in the way. I asked, "arent these self sealing tires?" His response was "no, I think that stuff is in there for sound deadening, like teslas. . ."

Caused me to do a little more research on the tire. Turns out both can be right. . . self sealing and noise reducing.

Nice, wish I had not had caught a nail.

Took it in for the recall (2024 MDX TypeS), told them I would be waiting, they said it would take an hour, I pointed to them the recall notice that said 20 minutes, said they had guys at lunch, I politely asked if they could try to get it done by the time I needed to return to work (tried to do this on lunch break), they had it done in about 30 min.

Definitely no noticeable difference.

(edited for spelling)

You certain the work was actually performed? 😉
Nah, you are totally right, I should go back to the dealership and tell them that they lied to me in that they completed a 20 minute software upgrade in about 30 minutes.

I mean, I should have gotten a huge huge boost in performance.

I mean, a software upgrade isn't actually done for real unless you sit there with them and supervise over their shoulder, right?

I have the certificate from the dealership that the emissions update was done, which is all I need (for future registrations). That was the only reason for the recall, so I am satisfied, but if conspiracy theories are your thing... Have at it. Happy Sunday!
