I have a 24 type s in for minor repairs. I received a 25 mdx advance loaner for a few days. Here are some of my observations.
1. love the new touch screen with google built in. Virtually no learning curve to use the interface. It is so much easier to use than TTI, especially in carplay. Although I admit the closer screen takes your eyes further off the road. Lastly, there are no visible finger prints on the screen, non issue.
2. chimes and audio alarms are more pleasant to the ears.
3. the B&O audio is good, but not quite as good as the els, imo. I noticed a bit of distortion at times in bass heavy music. The system to adjust bass, treble is interesting, but I found it awkward to use. I prefer els overall.

i enjoyed getting back into my type s. The power, suspension, and brakes make it an entirely different driving experience than the non type s.
Seems like a very good broad overview. I have yet to try the new B & O sound system in my first test drive, however, I truly enjoy the ELS system in my 22 MDX Advance ..... The touchscreen is inviting, as I still wrestle with what I will do ..Either by mine for $38 K give or take with taxes by Feb. Or lease a new 25 MDX ASpec Advance . It seems that I could get 1.99% financing for 2 years offered by Acura Financial even tho my MDX is not a CPO. Needs more investigation and consideration.

2025 MDX Tech. First of all, it does drive nicely. Touch screen is good. Sound system is good. However, Interior build quality is disappointing. Dash rattles occasionally after driving on rough road. Some buzz from behind driver seat. Door weather seal makes the car look like $20k car. I asked the dealer why the quality dropped so much. He replied "made in Ameriaca" Lol.

Checked about 5 MDX in dealer's lot. The plastic trim board at the rear doors are all misaligned.

It could be a good car, if you don't care much about those tiny problems.

PS, RDX has better build quality, but too small for me.
Which part of the trim is misaligned on the rear doors? (So I know where to look next time I pop into a showroom)

Definitely not great things to hear on a car that costs roughly $60,000, especially on a car being marketed as a more upscale offering... I’ll keep it in mind and check for it next time I enter a showroom.

I know of the sat radio being Eliminated from the 25 MDX (totally annoying that Acura elected to do that) - however, I was just viewing a How To YT Video about the new Touch screen. The reviewer never mentioned an AM radio. !!

Update. A call to Acura revealed that the HD Radio is AM/FM.

Just saw this Homemade YT video about the 25 MDX Type S. They went with the recommendation of a 600 mile "breakin" .

I just picked up my new 2025 MDX and I love the car with one exception...They took away my Sirius Radio interface. The phone app is poor at best with frequent lapses. I just can't figure out why in a $60,000 automobile they would make a bone headed decision like this...There is probably an easy way for Acura to add an app and booster antenna to the car to make it Sirius enabled, why they havent done it is beyond me...

Clearly Acura has data that more people are streaming through Android Auto or CarPlay than are using XM anymore. Many folks don't care about XM, and Acura probably saves money not putting the Siruis/XM tuner in cars.

Mdpete25, you should have not been surprised. There were numerous posts here about just that. Yes, what the hell is Acura thinking and doing. What could they have saved in $$$$$? Peanuts!! This bonehead move is total inconvenience. Turns me off.

The data is that Terrestrial radio is dead...the trend is to streaming services and podcast content in addition to music..Sirius is the largest provider of that content. So the idea that someone at Acura didn't anticipate or value that trend of consumers preferences seems to be short sided..The cost at production of the automobile to add Sirius capability would be negligible so I doubt this was a cost decision...

We went to a quality local car stereo shop and purchased an aftermarket satellite radio and antenna. Radio was $349 and installation was $200. No wires showing unit plugs into connection in the arm rest. The radio is fully integrated with screen and speakers. Should have come with the car but it works great.

If you live/travel in a remote area those car mounted signal boosters really work well. They will give you a stronger signal in places you have service and expand your coverage greatly.

They aren't cheap, but should be a "buy once cry once" situation.

Even though I don’t use SiriusXM very often, I use it sometimes... I don’t think they should have removed it, seems like a bit of a weird decision.

I'm working a Possible new 25 MDX A-Spec ADvance lease to replace my 22 MDX Advance - also wrestling (literally) with Buying my 22 for $39,400 Now. That would be $38,400 by Feb 20, 2025 when my lease extension ends. I think I am Going To Push My dealer to Include this Installation of a SAT radio Unit and Antenna (or at least get a $600 Credit). I don think too many are going out the door right now. My Dealer salesman has been all Over me since July to take a new 25 MDX (first the Advance - they only have 4 on their lot 3 White and 1 Black, then A-Spec Advance). By my resistance since July, tthe Numbers have changed - going down. On the Table is $4995 Out The Door[which includes Acura $1K Loyalty money, other applicable Acura incentives, and they "squeezed" $1K in equity for my MDX] , 39 month lease with 7500 miles per year (mine only has 22.2K miles on it - so there are about 11K Rollover miles to be added), $686 per month. I have lined up a $35,000 Used Car loan for 5 years at 5.65% (Credit Union) - monthly loan payment would be $645 or so. - I would be putting up $4.5K cash.

The lack of a SAT radio is disappointing because I don't want to have to always connect my phone in order to Stream the music. I do like that Acura added Massaging seats, and of Course the new Touch Screen which many have said on posts here and elsewhere. There was nothing wrong whatsoever with the ELS sound system. Switching to B&O was Unneccesary IMHO.

I noticed that in SoCal, I’ve been seeing a lot more A-Spec Advances on dealer lots compared to the regular Advance. Probably just me lol.

I haven’t tried the old ELS or the new B&O, how are they? Any major differences?

I have posted on several occasions about the SXM issue. I live in the mountains and even AM/ FM is spotty. I installed a DYI tuner into the console (photos posted) in another thread. Works OK, not like a factory install but the stations and presets do appear on the OEM screen. And it works everywhere. BTW satelite everything is the future. Goodbye cell towers. XM is just before before its time.

My other gripe with my '25 MDX is the Google maps. Difficult to see when on country roads and about impossible when it goes black after dark. The zoom doesn't help much as the street names and route numbers don't zoom! Google maps on my phone is much better, but then again it is on the end of my nose rather than an arms length away.

Acura, why is there a Gmeter on the dash... promoting reckless driving? How about a compass for the driver?

Same in Westchester County, NY. 3 local Acura dealers have far more ASpec Advances than Advances. And many Advances seem to be White!

There’s a bunch of dealers in my area that don’t have Advance packages. Only a few do and each of them have 1-2 or 3, on average. There’s more dealerships that have A-Spec Advances, though most dealerships generally have a majority of Technology package models. That seems to be the most popular on the lot (and the best-selling).
