I just took my MDX for its B1 service and also had the transmission D&F done. My SA had to call Acura to confirm if it used the 3.1 ATF fluid, and he was like "oh, its the same fluid as the new Odysseys". Honda charged me $237 for the job, and they used 4 qrts.

Ermm doesn't the new ody use atf type 2.0 (which, btw is mfg by nippon oil & energy)? Kind of TOTALLY different if you ask me.

This is one prob i find with honda and acura dealers all the time. They always seem to mix up the atfs and think everything is just dw-1. Now they're going to assume type 2 and 3.1 are the same too lol. I'm hoping their techs know better but if you want to double check, our atf is green. Dw-1 is red/pink and i have no idea what color type 2.0 is, but default with most companies is red.

The 2018 & 19 Ody got the ZF9 in the EX-L and below while the Touring and Elite got the 10 speed, so some of the Odys use the 3.1 fluid. For 2020 all Odys got the 10 speed.

Oh right right i was thinking about the 2020. Just focused on the word new. Forgot about the years they shared our pain. Lol

Can't imagine how annoying it might be for the techs to keep track of all the different fluids now.
