Hi MDXers, prospective new owner here, and all around wheel nerd. I'd just like to emphasize how crucial **offset** in determining wheel fitment. 20x10 doesn't tell nearly as much as 20x10+35, which would be way more aggressive than a 20x8.5+35. the offset is the same but the 10's addition width makes it stick out from the hub an addition 20mm or nearly an inch.

i'm in the process of looking for an MDX and first thing i will do will be wheels and tires most likely. planning 20x9.5+38 with 275/45/20, although parts of me want to set down to a 40 series and get a much more performance oriented tire and cheaper prices.

appreciate all the pics here, its certainly helped me steering away from a ZDX and go with MDX

Welcome! :29:

20's is a nice size wheel choice for 2nd gen (2007-2013) Acura MDX's....22's also look nice (but i'm sure are a PITA to maintain!!) :surprise:

22s” look good. It makes the X look “up to date” with the current trend of suv’s coming out of the factory with huge wheels.

I personally think a 20” wheel with meater tires gives our X a nice proportional look

I hate the “stretched” tire look.

Now that the 2017-2018 Acura MDX's have reverted back to the 5x120mm BOLT PATTERN (same as 2007-2013 MDX's! :29: ) I would be very interested/curious to see a set of these attractive, black painted (OEM) 2017 Acura MDX 20x8 inch accessory wheels (with 5x120mm bolt pattern) mounted on a 2nd generation 2007-2013 MDX!!!

Retail price on these wheels is about $1500 for a set of four, but these can be found selling online for about a grand a set elsewhere (non stealership)

Interesting find here! :31:...recently came across a significantly customized (2nd gen.) 2008 Acura MDX (</b>pictured below<b>) equipped with what appears to be (nearly direct fit?...with one BIG exception!...WRONG bolt pattern!)

While I have to admit, that for OEM wheels, these Honda (SEDAN) wheels actually look pretty darn good on a 2nd gen. Acura MDX, I do hold some reservations about this particular customization...:|

1.) this MDX must be using some type of wheel adapter (perhaps he/she had some 5x120mm drilling done?!) to accommodate these Honda 5x114.3mm bolt patterned wheels on a 2008 MDX that has the larger 5x120mm wheel bolt pattern. :nerd: (don't know if I'd like to go through all this effort myself just to get a set of wheels installed?)

2.) I believe the OFFSET on 2nd gen MDX's (with the Acura OEM 18x8 inch wheels) is about +45 and these Honda 18x8 inch wheels have a +55 offset- not sure how that will affect the ride/appearance (more aggressive stance)?

3.) all wheels have LOAD limits, and I'd have some hesitation on equipping (Honda Accord) SEDAN wheels on a much heavier/larger SUV vehicle like a 2nd gen. MDX?...could this possibly be an accident just waiting to happen?...:surprise:

its probably running adapters. if the offset is 55 it would mean its sunken into the wheelwell 10mm further than our factory 45mm offset. adapters would not only change the bolt pattern but also bring the wheel out for a better look. i think ive seen this style wheel as a replica in 20" size also.

Thanks- that's some useful info! :29:

I was actually wondering (from looking at the pictures alone) if these could actually be 20 inch size wheels (hard to tell)....they'd definitely be the type of wheel I'd have given fair consideration to as a potential replacement- if it weren't for the 5x114.3 wheel bolt pattern (if I ever had to replace my factory wheels).
