Is your car parked outside and exposed to the elements? - My car is garaged, and the factory wipers are still as good as new.

 

Oddly enough, it's garaged at home and my office! I literally never step outside on a work day. It is strange they are rubbing and grunting already. Maybe I just got a defective one somehow.

 

With Honda I have always had good luck just buying the Honda OEM wiper inserts and changing them that way, while keeping the original metal frame and the 2 metal strips that fit into the rubber piece

 

OEM inserts are usually the way to go. Try that first. See if it makes a difference.

 

I got the same thing too but I kept the stock blade and I simply replace the rubber inserts for $5. The front blade size are 26-inch and 20-inch.

Honda/Acura is known to have noisy wiper blade. I replaced my Honda wipers with a Toyota/Lexus wiper and has been very quiet ever since. My Lexus wipers has been very quiet for the last 10 years.

If the rubber inserts doesn't last I will replace mine will Toyota/Lexus wipers and be done with it.

Check out your windshield to make sure you don't have any residue on them that might be causing the wipers to rub. I like to wax the windshield every once in awhile to help clean off anything that might cause those types of issues.

Umm that sounds a little aggressive "never having to use windshield wipers again"

What about heavy rain. What about snow or ice. What about dust and dirt.

 

I use the oem wiper inserts. Super cheap. I also use a paper towel with washer fluid on it to wipe down the blade Every couple weeks. Keeps the junk off and makes them last much longer.

 

I'm in your Camp. I have repalced the Wiper rubber inserts about a year ago. They are Squealing again. I tried the denatured alcohol trick I learned many years ago. Wiped the rubber with DA and they improved, but still squealing under light raining situations. Probably going to replace them again - cheap enough to do. There is nothing wrong with the Blades. BTW, DA is great for getting remnant glue from your windshield (for Regi or State Inspection stickers) = works like a Charm.

Personally, I’d just go with another set of OEMs and see how long those last. I’ve had my A-Spec since AprI’ll 2022 and I’ve visited some pretty dusty areas and my blades are still good. Maybe you just got a bad batch. Have you tried cleaning the edge touches the windshield?

Same experience here. Very disappointed with the OEM wiper blades. They were pretty much shot after 5 months. Cleaning didn't help. Replaced with silblades, so far so good.

 

I've used silicon blades in the past and am using them now in my 2016 MDX Tech. Got them at Walmart - twice the cost of regular blades, but supposed to last twice as long. Not sure they wipe as clean as the rubber blades, but they do last longer and I've not had a problem with rubbing and noise. OEM inserts would be my alternative suggestion.

You should absolutely NOT be having this problem with a car that is garaged whenever it's not being driven, unless you put 100,000 miles on it in driving rainstorms in 4 1/2 mos😉

Last time I checked the Bosch site, they didn't have part #'s for the 22 MDX, are they same as older models? Have always put Bosch on my rides.

 

I think I'll try the OEM replacement rubber blade inserts this time since so many recommend it here. Can anyone suggest where to buy them? When I Google it and go into various sites, the info is arcane and costs are nearly the same as buying entire new blade assemblies.

 

I took a look at the Honda/Acura Dreamshop parts catalog. I believe the refill part numbers are:


- Drivers side wiper refill (650mm length): 76622-TDK-J02

- Passenger side wiper refill (500mm length): 76632-TY2-A04

- Rear wiper refill (400mm length): 76722-TYA-A01

The catalog has the lengths measured in millimeters and are listed in parentheses above. Definitely verify the part numbers before ordering.

 

I've done a pretty thorough search in the owner's manual and cannot find any indication of the windshield wiper length. By measurement, they are 26"/20" (~25.75"/19.5" actual). It just seems really odd this is not specified somewhere in the manual.

I’m having the same problem. Did getting the Bosch blades work?

 

OK, this is getting to be a pain in the arse. I am trying to order the Acura part numbers above for the wiper blade inserts. The part numbers are 76622-TDK-J02 (650mm) and 76632-TY2-A04 (500mm). Virtually every OEM parts site I've tried indicates these are the wrong part numbers for my vehicle based on the year-make-model description as well as the VIN.

Does anyone know where I can confirm these part numbers so I can get these ordered?

I finally found a site that had them both in stock with reasonable shipping. The shipping still cost about as much as the blades. I ordered them from Curry Acura in Scarsdale, NY. Like many others, selecting a 2023 MDX and searching for wiper blades results in "no results." If you search the part numbers above, they have them however, their site says they do not fit my vehicle. I'll update whether they fit or not once they arrive. Most sites say these part numbers do not fit a 2023 MDX.

 

That's My Dealer for my 22 MDX !! I think I will take a ride over there and pick up a pair of new rubber inserts. THX
