Unless we're on an extended trip, the trash goes on the floor, getting removed from the car when I reach the destination. On extended trips, it goes in a bag.

I have a small plastic trash bag that I make the wife and kids use.

 

Trash? In my X? No way. I put it in my pockets if I have to!

 

Don't forget the all time favorite. Between the center console and the seat. No matter where you plan to put the trash it always ends up there.

Annnnnd, to save some of us time, should include an "all of the above and then some" response.

 

If I have some paper trash, I'll throw it on the floorboard, but if it is food-type trash like a banana peel or the like, then it's going in a bag of some sort.

If the family is along for the ride, then we always take some sort of bag, perhaps a plastic grocery bag, to throw trash in.

 

I have too many gas receipts in the center cup holders and sometimes my wife likes to use the door handle. Somewhat embarrassing if you are giving somebody a ride and they go to close the door and see all this stuff in there.
