Did this today and let see if my oil consumption will improve.

Ran engine flush with 1 can of Liquid Moly Engine Flush:
1. Get the engine to operating temp
2. Pour 1 can of Liquid Moly Engine Flush and idle for 15 minutes
3. Drain engine oil and removed oil filter to empty the oil and put it back
4. Filled with cheap oil and idle for 10-15 minutes
5. Drain engine oil and remove oil filter
6. Fill with high quality engine oil and install new oil filter.

Update. I flushed the engine oil with Liquid Moly and I could tell my engine runs a lot smoother. Here is how I did the flush.
1. Drove the car for a few blocks to get it to operate temp
2. Poured 1 can (500 mL) of Liquid Moly and let it idles for 15 minutes. Once in a while rev the engine between 2k and 3k rpm for a minute or so.
3. Drain the oil, remove the filter and empty all the oil in filter
4. Install back old filter and the drain plug.
5. Use cheap oil and filled up all 5-quart jug.
6. Idle the engine for 15 minutes and rev the engine between 2k and 3k rpm a few times in between
7. Drain and remove the filter
8. Fill up with good quality engine oil and filter
9. Done.

Those whose have oil consumption issue should try Liquid Moly engine flush. I am seeing oil consumption improvement significantly. I will do one more in the next OC. One caveat is don’t over use liquid moly engine flush or your rubber seal will melt. I would use it once or twice a year. Liquid moly engine flush cleans and loosen up the stuck piston ring by removing sludge buildup.

I had tried BG109 twice and it doesn’t help with the oil consumption. Liquid Moly engine flush seems to work for me. I got 500mL can of Liquid moly for only $10 compare to $20 on Amazon.
