2022 MDX, received key fob low battery level on both my key fobs basically at the same time. I probably use them 70/30 split, just seems coincidence both were low. I verified this by driving the car with different key fobs away from each other.
My theory is that they both hang on key hooks in my garage probably 5 feet away from the MDX which is too close and running the batteries down. I used my multi-meter and measured 2.8Vs on both so they were clearly low.
In case anyone doesn't know how to access the key fob battery
1. Hold down the unmarked small button on the key fob and pull out the key
2. Use the key to pry the cover off the key fob, there is a small slot.
3. Use the key to pop out the CR2032 lithium battery and replace it.
If your key fob is completely dead, you can still start your car by holding it against the start-stop button and pressing it.
I bought a Faraday box to keep my keys in, time will tell if this helps.
