I went and had my 2019 sprayed today. It was a pretty cool process to watch. $160 total including a can of touch up spray. 32k miles on the mdx and I was glad to see it was pretty clean underneath of rust.

Kind of...to my knowledge, Kanagy is an oil/petroleum based product which has no solvents unlike Fluid Film which is lanonlin based (wax) that does have some solvents. No, it doesn't get washed away, although it does only last ~12 months. Kanagy is Canada's #1 endorsed rust protection company.
My local undercoating place has 2 types, one that is a 10 year product, another thats yearly. I doubt its ceramic, but yes the 10 year product is hydrophobic and is a coating of sorts. It cant be applied to everything, where the yearly product can.
