Hi all. Having an issue disabling Apple Car Play in our '22 Advance. I have a CD player that is used via the USB icon but it does not work when my wife has Car Play enabled. I understand that is how it works but up until now, we have had no trouble with her just getting out of whatever app she's using on her Iphone. Lately though, no matter what she does, including disabling her Bluetooth, works to let me use the USB link. She basically has to take the phone and walk about 10 feet from the vehicle before it releases the USB. Don't know what changed but wondering if the solution involves doing something with her phone or with the vehicle. Any ideas?

On Android Auto you have to disable both bluetooth and wifi. To make the process "easier", if Android sees one of the two is off and sees an Android Auto headunit with the other, it will enable the other item to allow a connection to go through.

Don't know if a new iOS copied this so worth a try.
Thanks. I have an Android but haven't connected it yet. This will come in handy.

On the iPhone, if you go into Bluetooth under settings, touch the circle with the i in it on the right side of the HandsFreeLink entry. In the options that come up is a toggle to turn off Car Play. Turn this off and Car Play won’t activate in the vehicle and you don’t have to disable Bluetooth or WiFi.
Thanks. That will help.
