Freaked me out, since I just got my 17 Pro Friday and haven't tested it yet. Wireless CarPlay works fine (ish - it's sluggish, but good)

It didn't connect at first. I had to connect to the Limcet Wifi, and then pair with the Limcet Bluetooth, then it tried to connect CarPlay, but was just spinning, so I had to go back, and enter CarPlay again (once or twice), and it finally connected.

Attached are WiFi/Bluetooth/Limcet screenshots. If your Limcet firmware is different, you might need an upgrade, and well... that could be tough, but I did it once a long time ago, just not sure how anymore (is it in this thread??)

Went to pick up my daughter tonight, kept disconnecting from wireless CarPlay on the way back. Might have to look into using a wire again, since I haven't been able to get definitive answer whether there's a firmware upgrade or not. 😨

Wireless CarPlay seems to be an issue on iOS 26 and/or iPhone 17 models. Reddit and Apple forums are littered with complaints. iOS 26.1 dev beta just came out and hear rumors it’s fixed. Will report if it improves. It’s bad enough where I’d consider getting a new box to solve the issue.

Installed, rebooted, connected right away. Playing in the office parking lot seems to be more responsive. Will update after commute home.

Installed iOS 26.1 beta, rebooted and it connected great. Then crashed. 😭

reset network settings, rebooted, and it’s working again. 🤞

Edit: Had a successful commute, but failed on the way home. Picked up this splitter to inject power into the USB port and switching back to wired. This was the last straw - wireless was laggy, and I was already charging over a wire. 🤷‍♂️

I tried the 26.1 beta as well no luck. Will use wired until apple fixes. From what I see online it’s an issue for may people.
Thanks for the link to usb splitter. Ordered that as that was my main complaint with wired. Phone charged but not fast enough if any at all.
