Here are the pictures before and after Techron Complete Fuel System Cleaner: I used 6 bottles (1 bottle per tank) of Techron Complete Fuel System Cleaner (20 oz) - 6 bottles in a pack for $61 from Amazon.

is this a different car? Didn't you go through like 2-3 bottle of seafoam and 12 bottles of Liqui Moly recently?? :) Great results though, regardless.

Try redline SI-1, it's supposed to have more concentrated than techron.

30-50% PEA

vs

See page 2:

10-20% trade secret, rest is distillates IE gasoline, naphta's & kerosene

I get it from amazon w/ subscribe and save every 6 months:

This way it's regular and not mileage dependent. Works well as a fuel stabilizer too.

IMO, you should peruse bobistheoilguy forums and post about your experiences. They love this type of stuff but can be a bit nuts on the details (like tin foil hat nuts).

what boroscope are you using? pics are pretty good!

I will check it out. I used this simple bore scope $39. The articulated one is very hard to use.

Didn't you just rebuild your engine with brand new pistons? What a waste!

Honestly, the before and after pictures do not look like it was worth $60. And it looks like you're going to spend at least that amount more to clean more. How is this sustainable on a continuous basis?

Don't get me wrong - I respect the hassle, but it needs to make sense, right?

My engine running like a new engine but the carbon buildup is bothering me. The carbon buildup is from oil consumption which is unfixable due to its design flaws.

I completely understand but it’s a fraction of the cost for another engine rebuild if it ever needs again. I am trying to see what addictive works best and then use it periodically as a preventative measure .

I am trying REDLINE next.

By the way Amazon made a full refund and told me to keep/dispose/donate the Techron because it’s a hazardous materials to ship back to them. I love Amazon!

What year is this vehicle? I have an 07, but I've heard/ read from multiple sources that the oil consumption issues on the 2nd gens didn't start happening until around 2010 MY.
Did any of these engines use Honda's Variable Cylinder Management (VCM) system? I know those have a reputation of causing oil consumption issues among other things.
