I was able to obtain very useful information on AcuraLink. Hope this helps.

1. All packages are available already
2. New owners can get a 3 month FREE trial of both Connect and Premium packages by simply calling AcuraLink at 8003822238
a. They will be asked to provide a credit card so that services can be billed after the 3 month trial ends
b. They will get notice before the 3 month Trial expires
3. The following is the service pricing
a. Connect
i. 1 year price - $250
ii. 2 year price - $398
b. Premium (includes the Connect package)
i. 1 year price - $ 350
ii. 2 year price $ 536 – so only $70 per year more than Connect

I think you typed those numbers wrong or you're bad at math. Should the premium 2-year be 436?
First of all, be nice. I have provided very useful info to the group, no reason to get nasty "bad at math".

Second. It's neither a mistake or bad math. It's correct. Maybe you are bad at math.

If you were referring to the "$70 per year more then connect" then you should brush up on your math. Connect package 2 year - 398, Premium - $536, difference is roughly $140, divide that by 2 years and it's $70 per year difference.

When I called in, they also had a 3-year package available.

I got 3 years of Connect for $388.30. This is actually 2 years 9 months, as they take your "3 month free" into account for the 3 year time-frame. So ~$8.50/mo.

Also, one concern - they mention that the AcuraLink "Basic" is free for 3 years, and this deal was to make the "Connect" match that term. I'm worried that the price will go up in 3 years when the "Basic" is no longer free..

Why did I spend 30 minutes on Acura's site and find nothing on pricing?

Why did my dealer refuse to give me this information?

And why are the moron imbeciles at Honda/Acura closed for subscriptions on weekends?

They lost an opportunity to get $536 from me..

Oh, and why the hell should I pay this much to remotely unlock my car? BMW, Audi, Ford, and GM offer it for free. This is rubbish.

There is a three-year Connect package that costs LESS than the two-year, and the three-year Premiere package is significantly less per year than the two-year or the four-year packages. Apparently three is the magic number for Acuralink for some reason... (Just bought my Acura MDX yesterday, so I went through the whole signup process.)

Just picked up a my MDX yesterday. The sales guy handed me the broucher and price list for Acuralink. Said I should call him and he'll handle the activation for me over the phone. I noticed on the price list right on the top in bold letters it said "MSRP Prices". That implies to me that there's some wiggle room in the prices.

This is the first Acura/Honda for me. Over in Toyota land there's no shortage of sales folks/dealers that will sell you a post purchase stuff like extended warranty and maintenance plans. Anyone have an Acura sales person they are close with that might be willing to offer mdxers.org folks plans?

Anyone else subscribe recently? Can you post prices paid? I'm interested in getting a connect package. Three year price at $388 sounds ok, not great, but curious what that 5 year price is. That 3 year price works out to $10.70 a month, I think the service is worth more like $8 a month for what I'd use it for.

Updated Pricing

I am in the process of purchasing a 2014 MDX and got a pricing handout.

Connect Premium
1 Yr 249 348
2 Yr 398 536
3 Yr 357 564
4 Yr 525 801
5 Yr 693 1038

- It looks to me like the 3 year premium or connect is a sweet spot. It is only $28 for the third year on premium and it is less for the third year of connect. This is a published piece (ET2013-1) and I looked several times as I was quite surprised that the third year of connect was less. I imagine that after 3 years, they know you will keep it.

What is in the paid level service that you like?

I have the free for three year basic package that my dealer set up for me. I looked at the tiered packages to see what more I could get. Some, like finding a location on my computer and downloading to the car - and locking my car from the phone - are nifty but I would never actually use them. The free basic service has the features that matter to me, like traffic.

The web site could be more helpful, so maybe I just missed something - or maybe it's a matter of taste. What do you think?

I purchased a 2014 MDX AWD/Tech last month. Just got around to activating the Acuralink yesterday.

I'm wondering if when I call to cancel the Premium trial at the end of the 90 days if they will offer me prices below those advertised on the Acuralink website?

Can someone who cancelled the Premium trial provide their experience with the Acuralink customer service? Did they offer a lower price in order to "retain" you as a customer?

For example, when you call Sirius/XM to cancel, they typically send you to their retention department, who has the ability to offer you a year of service at a substantial discount.

Thank you.

The only thing that works consistently with my Acuralink, is putting in an address through the app, and sending it to the car. That is it.

Does not show my tire pressure, gas and other features.
Works sometimes to lock/unlock the car, when i do not get the note about cellular service or having the car off for a few days, even though I just drove the thing.

Aside from that - love the car.
