Interesting how many posters bought their cars. In my neck of the woods , Metro NY, 80% of new cars are leased. I'm in the midst of either buying my leased 22 MDX Advance for $38k including the sales taxes. Only 22.4K miles on the clock. Or lease a new 25 ASpec Advance. Let the wrestling begin! At least I'll still have SAT radio, the 25s do Not.

Please let me know if you find any good deals. I’m in the area looking for the 25 Aspec Advance as well. Obviously after you lock in for yourself.

Bought a Blue MDX Technology AWD in Houston yesterday at $58K OTD( extra for extended warranty). Is this a good price for this car ?

Dealer convinces to buy the extended warranty and life time oil changes ($3.9k), did anyone buy this recently? Is it worth to buy for this car?

This is my first Acura, any suggestions are appreciated.
Hi,

Can you DM me the sale person as I'm also in Houston looking for a 2025 Tech AWD? thank you.

You should be able to get $6,600 off either an Advance or A-Spec Advance without any issues. I have also seen $6,600 off A-Spec.

For instance, I just purchased a 2025 A-Spec Advance in Pearl White with Red interior at $6,746.94 off the MSRP. The dealer honored my color choice, and I ended up paying $63,253.05 for the car, with an out-the-door (OTD) price of $67,000, which includes state and county taxes, doc fees, and registration/tags.

Additionally, I was able to negotiate 15% off all accessory parts and their installation.

My strategy was to start with the Navy Fed TrueCar offer and then use that to get competing dealers to submit better offers. I also found that websites like Gargurus and Caredge provided great information to help guide my negotiations. While I could have probably saved another $200-$500 if I had pushed a bit more, I decided that time is money and I had already spent enough time on the shopping process.

Currently shopping for a 2025 Type-S. I have two dealers right near each other with their first offers at $72K. Chicago area and there are a lot sitting around - think I can get much lower?

One option I'm considering is wait until after 4/30 when new offers might come out. When does Acura historically release decent offers on this model year, especially Type-S?

In case anyone is wondering, did not get much lower than $72K. Seems to be about the going rate right now.

I'm in the same market area as you. I will probably keep looking for a slightly used 2025 as I don't want to spend over $70,000. Did you end up getting one?
Yes - I was able to get them down below $72K, but still a bit over $70K. I also got a great trade value ($2K more than most others) so that helped as well. No add-ons or anything, exact colors we wanted. Great vehicle. Love it.

Central NJ; purchased Tech pkg white with parchment (wife’s preference). Entitled to loyalty $$. Msrp incl destination was $60,750; got some offers from Truecar (best one at $54,711 before TTL). Then One dealer said they would counter at $54,499 (10.3% off) and a few others offered to match that. Wound up at $59.5 out the door before trade in. Then negotiated about $400 more than expected for 15 year old Mdx trade with 143k miles. Very content with that deal.

Congrats and good job competing them against one another. There are dealers itching to make sale and others play hard ball. For example, I had one sales manager say no way I could get the car for the price I was asking him to beat. Two weeks later he called and asked if I was still looking for a car and I was happy to tell him I got a price lower than what he said was impossible lol. There is a lot more room in these cars before any loyalty credits / etc than folks realize. Soon deals may be rare. I have a feeling 2026 prices will go up with tariffs in the 40 percent of parts not made in US.
