Now that the 2025 MDX is out and has some good changes, what do you guys think of it? Anything that you guys like/don’t like? And which trim do you guys recommend? (SH-AWD)

For those of you who as "upset" as I am over the eliminated SAT Radio Receiver see the below link form another Acura Forum about the issue in the 25 MDX:

Problem with your theory is that streaming music is the same as SXM. It's not. First issue you need a cell phone or recorded materials to stream. Personally I don't have the desire to record and supply my own music. Having a multitude of stations with many choices of programming, live broadcasts; like sports.... is more desirable than playing a song list over and over. The big issue is that Acura did not introduce new technology. They took a step backwards. The cheap "notebook" stuck in the dash is far from being user friendly. The dealer lied about it being completely functional for entertainment. The Google map is barely usable, driving one handed and watching the screen will find a ditch sooner than a location. Bottom line is my '25 MDX is aggravating to drive and I still have a couple years on the lease. Hopefully Acura will wake up and fix it next year so I can try to flip mine for a new one.

Perhaps, Just Perhaps, the message is starting to resonant with Acura on the protest filed about the SAT radio. Yesterday, Honda Customer Service (they handle same for Acura) not only called me, they also Emailed me about addressing this Case number. They will just Poo Poo me with the standard retorts, but enough people keep complaining, it result in some sort of postive action.

May I ask, How you got Pandora on the Car's system? I have Pandora via AA , but have not been able to download via Google Play Pandora onto the MDX's system - I do have TIDAL, and Spotify, but can't get Pandora ?

I must one of the few that absolutely loves the touch pad . I took the time to learn the muscle memory to use it. Much safer than reaching for a screen ! Honda has great ideas but not much customer interaction. I prefer to have the SXM built into the car and not depend on my phone.
I am a loyal Acura customer since 2005 because they have what I want . SXM is what I listen to 100 percent of the time . I Have been with Xm before it merged with Sirius and become SXM.
Are you listening Acura ?

Don't Forget to log in your displeasure like many of us have! Send an email via their Web Site or use Acura Link (if you still have it engaged) to do it. If enough MDX owners protest , they just may pay attention ! So far, they respond by ascribing a Case Number with No resolve. Just excuses . Not even an alternative or aftermarket recommendation.

That's an Excellent point. No Phone, no Sirius.

Without a Doubt Spotify, TIDAL (even better in HiFi) and others too (I have Amazon Music with my Prime account) . However, having to use my Phone connection in AA for the SXM app SUX in comparison to having the SAT Receiver. It was easy peasy to use in any Mode. Just select, pick your channel, and Go !!

DITTO... I used Premium gas in my 22 MDX and the same in my 25. Every Blue Moon , I fill up at half tank with Regular or Mid Grade. In NY there is no 91 octane which is the recommended octane per Acura. It's probably a "head" thing, not scientifically measured by me, but I "feel" it runs better with Premium.

Here's another that might help! However, I have still not been able to conquer the fact that my Screen continues to go into AA mode , brings up a WAZE Map of my last time I used it last week for a destination, and the last Music Streamer (Pandora in this case) on the split right side ?? I can't figure that Out .

For Pandora on Android Auto it allows me to say "tell Pandora to play station xxx". See if the SiriusXM app supports that sentence.

Android Assistant is a few years old now, they will be switching to Gemini soon which should be much much smarter.

Unfortunately, That didn't work for S/Xm App now. But the vocal commands do for Pandora, TIDAL, etc. Alexa (given you have such an account and a Mobile WiFi connection) works marvelously!. I wish Alexa could do more in the MDX. But That should be the Worst Thing in Life ! LOL>

Google automotive is a different thought process when using, but has improvements when doing it right. Thinking like a smartphone, there is an overload of apps, you need to cusomize and move your top apps to the home screen so it is one click.

Also, try the voice controls instead of the screen where possible. Surprisingly intelligent stuff like "set the radio to 100.1 fm" or "drive to the nearest home depot" or "call mom" are just basics. Things like "set the radio to the Cowboys game" or "drive to the cheapest gas station within mile" or "this is a new city drive me to somewhere I like nearby" are all likely to do what you intend, especially after gemini AI launches in the car soon.

I learned something . THX. I also use Alexa (need a mobile WiFi or Tethered smart phone) to issue some commands : Alexa, Play Amazon Music (you can name a Genre if you wish). She often selects music that AI thinks I will like.

Here is my impression of the 2025 MDX Pearl White: large boxy with poor built quality. A small thud send a wave of sound through the car. Dashboard make sounds at rough roads. Sluggish acceleration. High pressure fuel pump making loud clicking sounds at 3500 miles. Stay away from this piece of crap. It is not reliable as you might think it used to be
I own 2025 MDX advance. I test drove 2022.
Lol. I bought a brand new $75k car. Not worth the money. I should have bought a Lexus
@Pacific guy joined an hour ago (as of this writing) and immediately came to this thread to post three comments crapping on his new 2025 Advance that he chose to buy after he test drove one in 2022. Uh huh.

Not buying it. Troll.

If this is true, then PacGuy, sell it and buy a Lexus. Life's too short to wake up everyday and want to throw a brick at your new car.

Some advice for your next car purchase - take it for a decent test drive before buying it. The 'it' would be the exact same model followed by the exact same vehicle you'll end up with (or just the latter if possible). I don't know why you'd test drive a 2022 but then buy a 3 year later model without test driving it first. You would've known if the acceleration was to your liking or not, and probably about the weird 'thud' and dashboard rattles (which warranty should address), and the size and shape of the vehicle, which it sounds like you don't like, is exactly the same as when you saw it so it wasn't a surprise.

Are you going to trade it for a Lexus? Be sure to drive the Lexus first - and be sure to look at the styling of the front end of the Lexus first (most are hideous IMO).

I miss my '18 MDX. The only thing good about the '25 in my opinion is the transmission. Smoother. Absolutely dislike the Pad in the dash. The entertainment system is non existant, horrible to use! My wife just cannot figure out how to use the selections, screams at the dash trying to use her cell phone to stream music. Sitting in the driveway fiddling with her phone when she wants to get going. This whole idea of bring your own music is crap.
