Thanks guys. I think my next thing will be the paint protection film, either venture sheild or avery. Myother trucks have had bug shields but i dont think that looks good on an mdx!

Looks good. I went with the Advanced Running Board on my 2011 MDX. I was nervous at first but was able to complete it by myself in 3 hours.

 

Are there factory holes or do you have to drill them yourself? How much of the car did you have to take apart?

 

There are factory holes, no drilling required. If I recall you only have to take off the factory splash guards. Really a pretty easy DIY for people just looking to get into it. Here's a pic of mine:

 

ASAl looks good! i considered those as well, it was a toss up between the two really.

Jack, as asal said the holes are already there. All you have to do is remove the front mud flap, pop off the plastic splash guards - they are secured using i think 11 plastic clips and it just slides off, then just bolt on the running board (a new supplied front mud guard was attached to the running board and the whole thing is then bolted on)

The hardest part was just having the tools i found. Instructions are available online if you google it, they are very easy to follow.

The long black plastic trim that run the whole length of the side of the car gets replaced by another piece that comes with the running board. Very easy to replace, they just unclip (and slide off) and the new one clips on reusing the same clips.

 

Do you have 2010-2011 sports running boards?

 

yes, those are the 2010-2011 sport running boards, i put them on my 2011 X.
