Thanks for the updates. For my money, I am willing to pay more for the second best radar just to get a remote mount (Passport, Whistler or Bel). I've had the K40 remote in my last to vehicles and find the remotes vastly superior ot the dash mounts for cosmetics, theft elimination, and it's always on when your driving. There is a big premium for the remotes, but if you haven't tried it, it's something to consider.

Alvin - What do you mean when you refer to "remote mounts"? I have two Bel's (one for the DX and one in my wife's wheels) and don't recall hearing or reading anything about remote mounting. Both detectors are windshield mounted. Am I missing a great feature?

JPOW - You are missing a great feature, but you have to buy a completely different unit. The actual dectector is mounted under the hood (behind the grill) and all you have inside is a small readout display. Looks good, doesn't get stolen. Try this link:
