We are out on vacation far far away from an acura dealership or even an OReilly. Transmission really rough and threw a code relating to trans...checked the fluid and realized it's rrrreal low and rrrreally dirty. I want to change it before our long trip home. Would it be safe to use any old synthetic atf to get us home and to act as the sacrafficial first fill of a "flush"? The specified fluid from manual is nowhere near immediately available but I could drive 45 minutes to the OReilly. Just trying not to use too much of my vacation time farting around with the ride.
