I am willing to give up the intruder alarm and the panic button alarm in order to shut down the problem of spontaneous alarm sounding. I don't think it has anything to do with intermittent hood or door contacts because this problem exists even without arming/locking the doors. I am taking apart both key fobs to make sure I don't have dirty short that is firing the panic button but I doubt that it the source. Saw several UTube vids on how to do the disarm but am unconvinced that I can/should do it on my 2012 MDX using those instructions. Thoughts?
