I felt compelled to cite this quick review of my 2025 MDX A-Spec Advance with about 4200 miles on the clock, leased on Feb 1, 2025.
Overall, I enjoy the 2025 very much with some exceptions compared to the previous 2022 MDX Advance I had until then:
2025:
It is Quieter overall;
The Massaging Seats are terrific - operating without Fail thus far;
It has the same terrific Handling, Ride, and Comfort as the 22;
Like the new A-Spec Advance exterior (grew on me more as I went along);
I'm still a little ambivalent on the color choice of Urban Grey Pearl / Orchid Interior; (but that's purely subjective);
Very disappointed in the lack of the Sirius/XM Radio Receiver - the SXM app SUX - not user friendly at all - burdensome to use in the new Touch Sreen;
The new Touch Screen was over hyped - it has its Pros but IMHO has its CONs - one of which is the constant changing into AA mode (I have an Android phone), even though I selected AM radio to play and then the system may switch to AA and have Pandora come up to select something to Play?? The Car's Google Based system is not in Synch with the AA mode. For example, If I select a destination on the main Google Map program (or use Hey Google or Alexa [you need a mobile WiFi in order for Alexa to work], that destination does NOT appear in the AA Version? And Vice Versa. and there are some other quirks too;
Lastly, The Tranny seems to be more jerky ( in that 2 to 3 or 3 to 4 gear) and laggy under certain circumstances when driving. I thought the early Jerkiness would diminish but thus far it's intermittently occurring. Same with the Laginess at times... Travelling at low highway speeds say 40-50 MPH and then stepping on the Throttle I get some Lag almost like a Turbo?? I can say I do recall some amount of Laginess early on with the 22 and at some point in the total miles spectrum it was gone. When I turned the 22 in for my new 25 Lease, she was running very well, very responsive.
New is the Rumble sound I hear when the Steering column is moving up into position upon entry (Auto Exit and Entry Settings engaged) - that just appeared about 10 days ago.
I have an appointment next week with the Dealer to check the Tranny issues (jerkiness, etc.) and this Rumble .
