My local dealer wanted to add $6K in accessories (!) so I started contacting all dealers within easy driving distance. Found 3 willing to sell at MSRP. The color/trim the wife wanted is supposed to come in within the next week or so and the dealer even has a low doc fee of $199. At least one of the other dealers has a $699 doc fee. No idea what my local dealer charges, I walked when they said the part about adding a $6K accessory package. I've already received all the accessories I intend to put on the car, about $1K worth. Ordered them at a discount from Acura Parts Warehouse.
Good for you. Not sure where you're located. I'm in metro Atlanta and the only dealer I know that deals with MSRP + $599 doc fee is Nalley Acura. All other Acura dealers are adding markups/other useless accessories or "Dealer Blessings".

They and Ed Voyles Acura told me they were adding $3K to every Acura until they can get more to sell. The dealer in Chattanooga will sell at MSRP + either 599 or 699 doc fee. The Knoxville dealer also sells at MSRP, don't know what their doc fee is. That area is at the absolute limit as far as how far I'm willing to drive so I wasn't particularly bummed about it. The dealer I'm buying from is closer than any of them and, of course, cheaper. I'll name them after my deal is done.
Sounds good. Good luck and I'll PM you for the deets.

Checking to see if anyone is able to snag 4G model for under MSRP ? I heard that dealers in east coast are dropping prices at or under MSRP.
On Leasehackr forum, there are a few brokers offering anywhere between 3% to 4% off MSRP. Target market is the Northeast - DMV + Philly + NYC area. You could get it and drive it back or get it shipped. Let's see if there is a chance for a 5% off MSRP late December. Will be very local though to specific markets.

Hi everyone, I am confused b/w Base + Tech and AWD + Tech. I am in DFW and don’t really need the AWD but wanted to check here if folks have found AWD a better driving experience on a long term basis than RWD. Also can anyone suggest how much would be a good price for MDX here in DFW region. Any dealer/salesperson recommendation is more than welcome.
Get the SH-AWD and you can thank me later. SH-AWD is a must on any Acura outside of the Integra.
