You've Been "Orged" Card

DMor had the great idea of putting cards on other MDXs to let them know about our site.

I thought it would be handy to make the note a standard business card size - fits in wallet and easily slips under wiper blade. Below is a gif file version. If you have Microsoft Publisher, I have a .pub file that you can use to print up 10 cards on standard Avery business card paper. and save it to your hard disk for personalization. If anyone would like a personalized version using their logo I will be happy to do one for you and email it.

Where's MYTONKA!!!

Hey Roadrunner,

I was looking at your site and was quite disappointed in the fact that you haven't made an icon for me.

Where's the love?

I'm certain that you can think of something creative between my id (mytonka) and my previous "posting heard 'round the world".

I wait with anticipation!!!

So Many MDXs So Little Time

Sorry MyTonka, didn't know you wanted one - and I had somehow missed that particular posting :D I think that definitely moves you to the front of the list.

Thanx!

Thanks RR, I don't feel like a real ACURAMDX.ORG member without it!
OH THINK of the POSSIBILITIES?!?

Hello all,

Here it goes:

1) SRS light stays on. Over this weekend, my SRS light came on and wouldn't go off. No, this is not the yellow side airbag light that is annoying when someone moves around in the passenger seat, this is the red SRS (airbag) light that has been on for the past 2 days.

2) My passenger side vent switch came off. The switch that opens and closes the vent on the far right side of the dash came out and keeps falling through the dash-board into the glove-box...poor quality rubber!!

3) The leather (or pseudo-leather) on the arm-wrest is starting to buckle and chip off where my elbow rests. Come on, this is only a 9-month old car...this isn't supposed to happen yet!!!

4) The bottom threshold in the rear passenger door is GONE! I have no idea how it happened!!! I noticed before that it wasn't installed properly and did not match up to the pillar covering at the bottom of the door, but I have not clue when it left...quite upsetting!!

5) Brakes are pulsating and harder to slow. I had many issues with my brakes when I owned my 1997 Acura CL 3.0...I had to get the front pads replaced every 15k miles or so...must be all that city driving, but I'd expect a little better from a performance vehicle company.

Thx,
MYTONKA
Oh...think of the POSSIBILITIES for Mytonka!

First...he must endure that Blazing SRS light! What a way to ruin the mood!!

Then his passenger kicks the "vent switch" off...flailing in the heat of passion... and he dares to complain of "poor quality rubber"? :D

Next...with so much elbow pressure...his arm-rest is wearing. Are we assuming acrobatic-like positions again?

Then...his passenger steals his Bottom Threshold as a souvenier? Are we to assume this is the only THRESHOLD SHE'LL SEE?!? :D

Pulsating Brakes? Even I won't go there.

Color Neutral Version

For those of you (of questionable taste):D who do not appreciate that Silver is the ONLY color, here is a new version in full living black & white. You can even crayon in your favorite (though obviously inferior) color

When the MDX is a-rockin, don't come a-knockin!!

Too Cool RR! Thanks for the icon.

Why is that car rocking??? I haven't read any new reports of Mytonka's "ACTION" (if you know what I mean...;))
To Vip9 - I Donno

Beats me, maybe along with all his other woes he now has bad suspension?
Needs to repave his driveway?
Earthquake?

Maybe Mytonka's calling card should really say "Orgyd" instead of "Orged.";);)
Since when did I ever say anything about...

Ok, now you're all getting a little too "Boogy Nights" on me. I'm not Dirk Digler here.

My posting was purely a recommendation on adding certain new features and options to the following years of MDX's :)

My sticker now says, ACURAMDX.ORG...PLEASE DO NOT DISTURB!!
To Vip9 - Oh I Saw It All Right

Yep, I saw it, found it very well......inspirational. A true scientist by nature - very thorough research. It sorta makes you proud.

Well, you know there is an awful lot of room in the MDX, especially when you lay the seats down... :)
RoadRunner,

For those of us lacking MS Publisher, could this be put in something a little more commonplace (say MS Word?)

Just curious.

Thanks,
RE: Word Version

Good Idea AtlantaMDX. Until you mentioned it I didn't actually realize that Word supported business card format. At the moment I am reworking the card to create a new improved version with no potential copyright issue. When the new card is ready I will add a Word version as well.

Special suspension needed

Looks like MyTonka already needs new suspensions....special ones this time.....must be able to stand 'time' be smoother and be quiet. Tires may just not be needed as I do not think this MDX will need to be used for travel.
New Improved Orged Card

Just got finished with a new improved "You've Been Orged", this time with full copyright clearances. As requested it is higher resolution (300 DPI at standard business card size. Daniel is looking in to providing a download page for easier use. Thanks go to him for granting permission to use that distinctive acurmdx.org look and to DMor for coming up with the original idea.

For the Do-It-Yourself Types

Some of you asked about Word and Publisher files. The trouble is that printer formats and card styles make it difficult to make a universal format. Also the files become huge compared to the images that go in to them. Instead, at least for now, I am providing the background art minus the text. You can insert the 300 DPI card size image into the background and put your own text over it using the format/software of your choice. This would also be a good way to go if, like me, you want to be able to add your personal logo/signature to make it more personal. I just added a small RoadRunner icon with the line "courtesy of RoadRunner MDX"
If you have any trouble with any of this, I will be glad to help you. Unfortunately, not until after the 30th of July. Got the chance to spend a week with the grandson up in the North Carolina mountains - so if you're in that area watch for a SS with a RoadRunner Tag in front and a RoadRunner decal on the back :D
