Can this be used for the MDX? Is this a good alternative to the Wood grain steering wheel? Is the one from Acura, sold by Tim, real wood?

I bought the wood steering wheel from Acura when I got my Red Rock and asked for the original leather steering wheel back home. From your wheel's look I cannot tell if it will work because the acura's wood model comes with only the wheel and the center metal piece. The middle portion such as the airbag is from the original equipment so the dealer re-used the middle portion (honk.. and airbag). I will take a picture of the original wheel so you can see for yourself.

As I understand the Acura version is not the real wood but is looks great... Also your wheel is price almost up there at the Acura pricing.
Why even bother w/this one? You can get the Acura OEM from Tim for 390 bucks.
.....And if you are somewhat handy like me, you can install it yourself in about 2 hours.
Is installing the Acura Wooden Steering Wheel a low risk and easy job? I worry about doing it myself since it contains the airbag.
With the Acura instructions I found it to be quite easy. You just need the right tools and some patience. The only tool I didn't have was a steering wheel puller but the local Autozone rented me one for free. You will need a torque wrench and a torx bit as well.
Other than that just basic tools are needed. I was a little nervous about the airbag but it turned out to be no big deal. Just treat the bag with caution and do not drop it.
I'm not gonna' say my heart wasn't racing a bit once I turned the ignition key (from the passanger seat) for the first time after I put it all back together.
I figured if an Acura tech is going to follow the same instructions why can't I just do it.
