Been driving my new black on black (excuse me, I mean ebony...) MDX for a week now and love it so far. One problem, though: when I use the windshield washer I noticed that the jets only squirt the fluid about 1/2 way up the windshield. Is this a design flaw or peculiar to my X? Anyone know how to adjust these jets?

Any and all assistance most appreciated...

Works the same on mine. I think it's the design. Never tried to do an adjustment, but the wipers seem to spread the juice around enough to get the whole area covered by the wipers.

What I would like to see changed is the dribble down the back window.

Runs up windshield..

Any '03 owners have this problem.
My '03 passenger side jet spray fluid near the bottom of the windshield. On the part of the window that is not hit by the wiper. The problem is that once it hits (and loads) fluid on this spot, once you stop the wipers the fluid runs up the windshield. It's not just a little dribble, its a couple of full lenght streaks.

straight shooter!

i picked up my MDX on 12/27/02 and think the spray nozzles do a fantastic job, especially compared to my traded-in 01 sequoia, which also gave a much narrower spray that got more fluid on the roof .

they spray about 1/3 of the way up the windshield with a wide, even, diffuse pattern.

the only thing that is a little annoying is that when done, they leave a few drops on the hood-ruins a nice shine from a waxing.

i would definitely have the service guys look into this and hope they can adjust them for you. there is a special, more effective design to our nozzles that i read about. so honda did specifically want this system to work well.

good luck,

chris

The way to adjust the jet is to insert a small push pin in each orifice and adjust it with tiny up/down/left/right moves as needed.

Agree, but the back window is pathetic

The front wipers and spray are great, but when I use the back window spray and wipers it is sort of pathetic, it just dribbles down, haphazardly swished around by the blade, but, still NO complaints, the other car is a '96 Jeep and that window never, ever gets cleaned unless by hand!
