Will these rims & tires fit the MDX?

Rims measure 18”x8.5” with a 5-120 bolt pattern and a 48 mm offset. Tires are michelin energy all season 255/55/18. If these rims do fit, what kind of ride will it give me compared to the touring rims I have now?

My dealer said that the spare tire and rim will cost me about $460 plus tax. I have the 2002 Touring. Does this sound right or anybody know a better source?
fitting aftermarket rims for your MDX

You may want to go to a wheel and tire store to get consultation on the aftermarket wheels and tires for your MDX. 8.5" in my opinion is rather wide... If you look at the wheel well of the car...it doesnt look 8 inches deep...

i currently have 20 inch by 7 inch wide NICHE wheels with Michelins. Keep in mind...the thinner the rubber the rougher the ride. To compensate that am planning to get some Tokico fully adjustable absorbers and springs.

I may be wrong but, I think the MDX bolt pattern is 5-114.3. Also, that 48 mm offset might be to high for the 8.5. I've been doing alot of research on after market wheels and 18x8.5 should fit as long as you have an offset of +35mm - +42mm. The 48mm might rub inside somewhere. See DubbedSS' MDX. He has 20x8.5 wheels with 295/40/20 tire (I think). But his offset is +34mm only. See MDXplosion's setup as well. The higher the number you go your wheel will seat more inside. The lower the number it goes outside. Call around...

Hope that helps.
The reason I asked.

Those are the dimension of X5 rims. The MDX rims look better then the X5's rims, but the x5 rims are 18" by 8.5" & have potential with a coat of chrome. A new set of 4 x5 rims with the michelin tires I was talking about cost less then $500 on ebay!
