Well I see dozens of them a day. I'd say it's 99% and then some that are still on stock wheels. I see more chromed stock wheels than I do of aftermarket wheels. And if the aftermarket wheels, only half of them are a bigger size than stock.

i think most people that purchase mdx's are broke after(maybe).
to purchase proper wheels and tires it would cost about $2000-$2500, which some ppl might think they're better off getting something else with that money, cause they're X is already fly as it is, and because they're stock wheels isn't steel rims anyways, and to add an extra $ for the tire pressure gauge to the new wheels too.

In all honesty, I have to see a MDX w/ Aftermarket rims IRL, I only see Caddy's with the LPT. I see a lot of LPT sports cars in the summer, but they hibernate for winter up here and wait for all the salt to be washed away.

Where do you walk, in an Acura lot? I don't think I've ever seen a dozen MDX's in a month other than when I bring mine into the dealer. :D
I never noticed many MDX's in downtown Chicago...until I bought one. Now I also see at least a dozen a day, and that's just driving 3 miles to work & 3 miles home. It's amazing how you start noticing cars that you never noticed before after you buy one (especially if you thought yours would be relatively unique) :)

I think the MDX (along with many, many other vehicles) can look pretty sharp with certain aftermarket wheels & low-profile tires. I just prefer to keep things stock on my cars, not only because I lease, but also because I like my cars simple & unassuming.

I have to agree with you on the simple an unassuming, but I do have an aftermarket trailer hitch cover (no they are not balls).

Also I wish I had a short commute like that. I do 12 miles each way, granted it is all back roads, so the AWD and All Terrain tires come in handy for that during the winters.

I see a nice looking 911 w/ a nice large shiny rotor, powder coated caliper, and low profile tire, I think it looks nice. The larger brakes require a larger wheel, while it displays the beauty of the mechanics of the vehicle and gives the vehicle a little bit more performance at speeds on curves.

Though when I see a large SUV or truck sporting low profile tires it looks just wrong. It's like a fat hairy guy wearing the outfit pictured on cover of Victory Secret catalog. It just doesn't work together.

The brake size to wheel size seems very odd. You see this huge wheel and a tiny rotor.

i must politely diagree with u mr. hostage on this one...i've seen more than one MDX in real life with aftermarket wheels (with low profile tires) that did not look a like a fat hairy man in fish net panties/stockings...it all depends on the overall setup- MDX color, tire/wheel selection etc.... :29:

Why did you just post a photo that looks like a fat hairy guy wearing the outfit pictured on the cover of a Victory Secret catalog?

:D
Ha!

I've never been a huge fan of black rims myself. If I were going to swap out my wheels, it would be for these sweet 20" ZDX chrome accessory rims:

The second pic was actually posted here in another thread by Priscilla.

Of course, if I had the Advance, I wouldn't mess with a thing - I LOVE the 19" wheels that come with that package.

those ZDX wheels are 'okay' but at a cost of about of over $400 per wheel they're quite boring/stockish in my opinion..with lots of better aftermarket options for that kind of money :28:

Yesterday you said you actually "counted 938 MDXs in a couple months and only 11 MDX have aftermarket rims on it" that was how you came up with 99% Mdxers don't have after market wheels. Why did you deleted it? :headshake

Smoky, you definitely have some growing up to do. You easily could've explained yourself without taking stupid, immature swipes at posters here and this thread in general. You went over the line.

I was going to say "to attract attention", however those look better than any combination I've ever seen. The white body, style wheels, tires and all.:29::29:

Has anyone seen these? Drag DR - 37 in Hyper Black. I saw them on line but now one has one to look at in person.

Smoky, that is NOT what the internet is for. You are pushing it. You can blab on and curse all you want somewhere else but this forum is moderated my friend. I kindly suggest you keep the peace here. BTW, I love the look of some 19or 20 inch rims on the MDX myself. It's something I have wanted for some time.

Thanks Bolt. I love it. I tried my best to make it look "OEMish".
Had to google your wheels. The black pearl they come in looks great.

The black pearl wheels were discontinued a while ago because it changes color to purpleish due to the heat from the rotor. I was going to get the pearl but after I heard of that problem I went for the chrome.
