You all think it’s safe to swap out yet?

Winter snow was a bust! I want to save my winter tire thread but I have this feeling once I swap them out it’s going to snow.

Winter tires are for those who can't drive lol.

In all seriousness, many variables here. How "summery" are your summer tires? How skilled are you? Etc.

I grew up just off Lake Michigan, but on the outer ring of typical lake effect. Sometimes we got hammered with 80+" per season and other years we were lucky to top 20". Now that I live 100 miles south of that 20" is a bad winter. I've never bothered with winter tires in either location, but there are those that do and most of them do it because they run summer tires that give aggressive summer performance. I recall a girlfriend complaining about how terrible her Ford Escort GT was in the snow and I found it impossible to believe until I drove it with the GoodYear Eagle GT tires on it, definitely a summer performance tire. Swapped them out for decent all-season tires and it made an unbelievable difference, so I stick to tires that are on the best end of wet & snow traction and run them all year.
