What's your problem ?

Since no news is good news, can we hear from forum participants that have had a clean track record with their MDX.

Have you been lucky enough to avoid the services dept. except for cosmetic issues and/or scheduled maintenance?

ps. this is Multile Choice, i.e. You can pick both mechanical and electrical problem if you have had both.

Yep something is definitely wrong with my 02 MDX.

Gas tank doesn't slosh, brakes don't click, can't feel the brake wobble, I think the stereo sounds good, mirrors don't weep, nor have I had any other problem commonly mentioned on this forum.

Good idea for the poll. Maybe my experience is not that uncommon.

My Black '01 w/68K, recent problem was condensation on driver side light. Dealer other than the one I purchased car from replaced both. Had to take to my dealer because alignment was so off. Dealers told me I was the first MDX with this problem. Anyone else expierience this?

Problems - We've Had A Few

Sorry, don't have the list with me, but here is what I remember for now:

** Hood hit left front fender when closed (chipping paint). Repositioned front clip to remedy.

** Dash warning lights lit up like Christmas. After verifying that the gas cap was closed, Acura repaired oil pressure sending wiring (bad connector) AND replaced an engine part (VTM pressure switch ?? or some such thing).

** Possible Tranny Problem -- fluid messed up at low miles (8,000 ??). Did 3x flush, now waiting to see what happens.

** Brake Thunk (fixed with shim).

** Broken Sway Bar Link replaced.

** Horrible noise closing left rear door -- aligned door latch to remedy.

** Oil Leak - Spare Tire Hanger (worked on twice, still leaks).

** Bad reception, Radio replaced, reception better but still not good.

** Trip Computer memory isn't -- replaced, still messed up.

** Nav screen inversions, updated software has fixed the problem.

** Bad spot weld in rear hatch -- repaired and painted.

** Gas tank slosh -- oops, sorry a feature.

** Nav software that is "somewhat dated" -- Bought current Thomas Street Guide for Los Angeles to remedy problem. Guess this is also a "feature", not a problem.

Don't know what I forgot, that will have to do for now.

I have had my MDX for 14 months now and no problems to speak of. I did bring my MDX into the dealer once to get the parking brake cable tightened. It was a warranty item and I was in and out of there in less than 20 minutes.:29:

Three months, 3600 miles, zero problems. Or as mdxxxx said: "Nothing serious that I would call a problem"
