sfhnmax,

What area are you from? As far as getting a good deal, first of all you should pay no more than MSRP. It's just a matter of the dealer throwing in some freebees (i.e. mud guards, mats, etc..). I think it is most important to make sure that the dealer provides good service. Unless you buy from a dealer 200 miles away, I don't think you would like to go there for servicing. Good luck in your MDX hunting!! :D :D :D

I purchased mine from Pohanka. It is actually the third car I purchased from them but this will be the first time that I will bring my MDX for servicing. The cars I purchased from them before were Hondas so I took them to Honda dealership for servicing. When I bring my MDX for servicing, I will let you know how they handle their customers. I've got 2K miles only so it might be a while. I've been to Radley too but can't really tell how their service is. Very accomodating sales persons compared to Pohanka though.

Let me know when you get your MDX so we can all meet.

Picked up my base Nighthawk last week. Received step bars and mud flaps yesterday from Tim and will maybe install them this weekend if mother nature behaves. I am still awaiting the Xenon HID's from xenonshop.

sfhnmax:

I got my MDX from Radley in Falls Church. Jun Castro's right...sales personel is great, but I have not experienced the service department. Robert Luu got my MDX in less than a month! Stay away from William Taliaferro at Radley. He is extremely arrogant and unprofessional. I have not tried Pohanka, but heard horror stories of them. Good luck!

Just received our VIN # yesterday from Pohanka Acura. Feels like another birth in the family! Our sales person (Curtis Scott) says the new baby (GG/tour/nav) should arrive within 2-3 weeks. Hope we get it in time for my upcoming golf trip to Wilmington, NC in early April. We placed our original order in November but didn't like the color (Mahogany). Hope GG does the trick! We live in Oakton, VA and still haven't seen any other MDXs in the neighborhood.

Roll Call

I am a bit late on signing up, but have had my EG MDX (equipped as noted below) since 1st week of November from Radley Acura. Excellent salesman, Robert Azu, but very very poor markes on the service department (had them install the whole trailer & coolers package).

I work in Bethesda.

Have currently 7500 miles (@Rosenthal Acura today for 1st oil change and rear differential fluid change).

My vehicle is equipped as follows:
EG Base MDX
Fender Flares (installed @ delivery)
Trailer hitch (w/trans & steering clrs) (installed post delivery @ dealer)
mudgaurds (installed @ delivery)
wheel locks (installed @ delivery)
wood gearshift knob (self installation)
cargo cover(self installation)
base carrier(installed @ delivery)
sunroof visor(self installation)

I await Yakima's clamp to allow me to place my bike rack on the vehicle and am interested in door gaurds (concerned about dings in parking garage) and maybe hood visor (rock dings).

Great website hope to learn from fellow MDX'ers.

(side note, fuel economy is dissapointing - but a great drive)

Cheers to all!

Hi Gary !

Should be in today or tomorrow.
As you know, I have anxiously been waiting for 6 + months.
I have not seen very many around the county yet.
See ya at Texas Road House for a frosty sometime.

Has anyone purchased from Frankel Acura? We put our name on the waiting list almost 3 months ago and are still waiting. They told us it would be 3-5 months, so I'm not too anxious yet, but we had a bad experience with them when we bought our last car there, so I'm starting to wonder if I should have gone with a dealership south of town (we live near Towson, so it is so much more convenient to buy up here). Thoughts?

Hello Shell-O

My wife & I put our names on the list back in early October. They told us around New Years that we would have a car. But when that day came and gone and they kept pushing the date back, weeks and weeks at a time. We got really fed up with them and bought from Rick Case Acura down in Ft. Lauderdale. Great experiece there - my car was delivered at my house in exactly 3 weeks from talking to the dealer! You may have seen my M around town, since I work over in Timonium. Just look for "M HNGRY" :)

KEEP LOOKING

After waiting 4-1/2 months for my MDX from Criswell in Annapolis, in retrospect, I would find the largest dealer in the MD, VA, DC area and order from them. If it's REALLY not a hassle, I would order from Florida and pay the freight to have it delivered here. Once you take delivery however, you quickly forget the tedious waiting time!! :D
