It bothers me because it appears these people are over-extending themselves credit ..
I've never gotten out of the various posts that people were "over-extending" themselves but if they are, so what. That is their own choice and I don't believe it is any one else's business to judge that. In my situation an extended warranty is not a good idea. For some one else it might be different. If it helps them sleep better at night and reduces stress in their lives, then they should get it, even if it does over extend their credit. Because being content and feeling secure with the choices one makes is more important than money. That is the underlying choice for many people that buy the warranties.
