Lately I noticed started from a stop position the front tires tend to spin, feels like ABS kicked in and the VSA light goes on and off. We are in Canada so we have ice and snow. Tires are near new Latitude X-Ice. Something wrong with the AWD system? The wheel balancing is off?

Is the SH-AWD light on? or a Check Engine light? Make sure the rear tires are engaging by having someone look at both rear wheels for spinning.. if they don't move take it to a dealership as they are the only ones that know how to work with SH-AWD.

It's the triangular light which according to the manual is the VSA. I wil try again to be sure but I dont believe I have seen the SH-AWD light on ever.

When I slide on ice the vsa kicks in. I get that mostly when making a tight turn and going uphill at the same time when there is a nice fresh layer of ice, happens allot.
