Apparently, some 2016 MDX's aren't affected by this, as they did not have the auto stop/start feature. I have one and it does not have it, therefore is not on the recall list for this particular issue.

Yup, I believe there have been a few threads about this. I had mine checked out, and there was actually the same TSB for my 2015 TLX. If you don't have auto start/stop then obviously your car isn't affected.

I had no idea adjusting the valves was that involved. They couldn't make that more complicated if they put two diversity hires and a Harvard MBA on the design team.

Got my notice in the mail today. It is an idle stop software update first. If you experience problems after the software update, the Acura will replace the starter, relays, and adjust the valves. So, not just one long trip to the dealership, but two.

Replace the Starter, Starter Relays and Adjust Valves is only a 3 hrs job?
