I'm in Englewood. Ordered a black/parchment base model back in November from Park Avenue. Expected delivery Feb. 1st but the car has not come in yet. I've been very patient thanks to this site and reading what a terrific car the MDX is. However, in anticipation of the MDX I got rid of my Outback in early January (got an offer I couldn't refuse) and have been "borrowing" a second car from a family member since. Hopefully my MDX will arrive in the next week b/c I am about to become car-less.

Question for NYC_KID

Hey NYC_KID,

Just wanted to know your experience with Rallye Acura. I purchased a Black navi on Dec. 16 and got a build date of March 15th (today) and told I would receive delivery 2-3 weeks afterwards. Just wanted to know if you were the same. They will not give me a VIN until they have it in their hands. I have been dealing with Bert Pallini and he has been excellent so far. Any time I called him he was able to give me a progress.

I ordered some accessories fromt hem and I know the prices are gouged, but guess they can do it, so why not. I did order a lot of stuff from Tim and have a garage full of accessories. I'm also planning the DVD system with TV for my 2 kids (OK - really for me, but have to tell the wifey it is for them). I am in New Hyde Park and would like to see your MDX one day if you don't mind. I just love the truck so much and go ballistic on the road whenever I see one.

Would appreciate any feedback. If you get a chance give me a buzz - 516 328-5611 (Arun).

Did Montclair do the NY Inspection for you?
If not, what was the grace period to have it done?

Any other extra steps for New Yorkers buying from NJ?

Montclair can not do NY Inspection for me.

Montclair will give you a three(3) weeks temporary license plate when they are getting the NY license plate for you(this temporary license plate do not need a Inspection).
After you receive the NY license plate(also with a 10 days temporary NY Inspection) you can go any Inspection Station do the new car Inspection (only $10 do not need do any inspection job)

They do not let me do the NY license plate by myself, so they charge $131 for the NY license plate fee and pay the sale tax to them(same 8.25%).

I had the dealer do these because I had no time and wanted this stuff within a few days of taking delivery AND I really wanted the warranty on the airbag.

In addition I have installed a full set of PIAA Platinum Super Whites, Highs, Lows, and Fogs (and love them). I also am considering the rear air deflector based on how dirty the back gets.

FINALLY Got my MDX

Hello All,

4 Months waiting period is over...I picked up my MDX on Monday March 19th.... 2001 Silver touring with NAVI...running boards, rear mud flaps, wheel locks.....

I am sure I got ripped off but I am not dissapointed.
I love this vehicle...

I have some questions:
Do any of you experience now or did you when you got the suv some clicking noises from the rear tires over bumps?? I am not sure if this supposed to happen or not...

Do any of you like the BOSE system?
