This is very interesting. I am not aware of it, why have to use the battery that you can not replace with? more tech more problems. :frown2:
I heard it is very expensive to replaces all 4 of them.

The 7-10 service life seems to be accurate. My 08 RDX with TPMS is still performing without error after 9 years. Zero issues with my 11 MDX either.

You can replace the battery if you really wanted to. There's plenty of people who do it already, but most just replace the whole unit since it's roughly a 10 year cycle and they're cheap anyway. The stem seals are likely all dried and cracked by then too.

Most teardowns I've seen show CR2302s, but nobody has taken apart one of the Acura OEM ones yet that I've seen, so cannot confirm.
