In general, according to the local tire folks, all-weathers are a very good solution to not having to switch tires back and forth twice a year. Recommended as acceptable for running around town and lower highways in the valley, but not legally allowed on the mountain passes. Several family members have gone this route for their vehicles, but none of them drive in the mountains in the winter, Just my observances.

I got the Pirelli's (Scorpion AS Plus 3) installed last Friday and had the chance to put them to the test on a 700-mile road trip over the weekend. They ride great! The majority of the drive was on the highway where they handled really well...quiet and nice ride. And, roughly 100 miles or so were on some twisty country roads that were alotta fun to drive! I'm no tire expert, but they seemed to do everything well and are definitely a nice option if anyone is looking.
