Is there an alarm system that comes with the MDX? If so, is it worth having a supplementary one or is it a decent alarm? If not, are there any recommendations?

Yes, an alarm comes with it. I set mine off the other day (after a year) and it surprised the heck out of me. I was cleaning the vehicle and reached inside the open window to unlock the vehicle and the alarm went off. Flashing lights and intermittent horn. I seem to recall the salesman saying it could also be set off by breaking glass.
