I am grateful for all the informative posts on this site. Reading this forum helped me to make a decision to go ahead and order a new MDX (yesterday). Although I had a very tough mental debate between going with the granite green or silver, I bit the bullet and went with silver. I have not seen a silver in my area, only the granite green which was the dealer demo. However from what I have read, and from statistics on what has been sold, the silver must have been a good choice.

Let me also give kudos to my dealer, Acura at Oxmoor in Louisville, KY. I give them five stars for their salesmanship, professionalism, and overall experience in making this deal. They never once pressured me into buying and treated me with respect. All this after no less than five visits and numerous phone calls.

The MDX was more than I had originally planned on spending. However, next to my second choice, a pathfinder, the difference in interior roominess, gas mileage and standard options made the additional five thousand dollars easier to justify.

I have the Granite Green and I think it is a great color, but you
will not regret the silver. The SS "X" is a very sharp looking vehicle.
I have had white and silver cars for the
past 10/12 years and I find they show a lot less dirt than my GG.
The GG is really sharp, but had it not been for the fact I have
had so many silver automobiles over the past 10/12 years, I would
currently own a SS MDX.....

I, like you, obtained a lot of info from this site prior to my purchase. In fact, I had more info than most dealers I talked with - based on info being posted here. This is a great site with a great membership. Everyone is always very helpful.

Let me add congrats as well...This being my first post as well, I am also looking into purchasing a MDX. And guess what? MY other choice is a Pathfinder as well. As this is my first time browsing these boards, I'm still gathering information. I look foward to getting to know all of you through out the next days, weeks, months...etc.

Glad to read you decided on the MDX.

I have also put down an order recently, and am waiting for the big day - delivery. I still have about 60 days to go. How long did your dealer tell you should expect to wait before your MDX is delivered??

I'm try to gauge how constrained the MDX is in different parts of the country.

I was given an approximate wait time of 12 weeks. Also, to revise an earlier post, I changed my mind and went with the granite green instead of silver. I was able to see both side by side, and I preferred the GG over the silver. No offense to the silver owners for it was very attractive also.

Also, FYI, I was told that this Friday was my dealer's last day to place an order for granite green due to discontinuation of the color.......bad move in my mind!
