rvehock,
How do you get the cover on/off? I didn't notice any running boards on your MDX.
Do you start with the back with the antenna?
Assuming I can somehow roll it up (haven't figured out how to do that on the MDX yet), to put it on I would stand on the rear bumper and let it roll down towards the front. Assuming no wind, I would then shake it a little and then hook it over the antenna, get down and hook it around the mirrors and then do the nose and tail (this is essentially how I cover my CL).
To fold it, I would unhook the nose and tail, unhook from the mirror, fold it so that it is on top of the roof. Unhook the other miror and fold it so that it is also on top of the roof. Next I would unhook the antenna and then start folding it over longitudinally on the roof. Starting from the front, I would roll it up while moving towards the back. When I reach the back it should be a small cylinder which I can unroll later.
Your method may vary from mine.
Some of the problems with a lightweight cotton cover was that if it was windy, it would be hard to put on/take off. Also if it got wet, it would be hard to handle due to the cover sticking to the car.
