Do you usually leave the Auto Start Stop system in the on position or do you override it to be off? What's your personal choice? Personally, it somehow doesn't bother me like I assumed it would... I also kind of like the Brake Hold System option too.

To add...also another reason is that I work from home and don't drive much, so my battery doesn't get recharged as much as someone who commutes to work daily.

..and starting a car requires a lot of juice from the battery

I leave brake hold on all the time, gives me a few seconds to stretch my legs at stop lights. Wife hates brake hold and autooff and disables them.

I don't like the auto stop start, it seems like a gimmick to boost the EPA fuel economy numbers, I added a switch to disable it without having to hit the button every time I get in. I find it annoying and unpredictable, the manual states it should shut off anytime you stop except when the AC is on, but it fails to shut down under many other conditions (which I haven't been able to fully identify), when it does shut down, I don't really like it, I made it so it can be enabled in the drive through line. I've never noticed the hill holder, so I guess its on. Off topic, but I also don't really like the way the adaptive cruise control works, it slows down too far from the car in front, even on the farthest setting, and accelerates faster than I would like, so I frequently have that disabled. I also have the LKAS disabled, I don't really like it, I use for long trips occasionally. I also have the ADAS disabled, I find it annoying.

Sounds like you want ACC on the nearest setting, 1 bar, not the farthest.

All of my vehicles have auto start/stop enabled and it doesn’t bother me in the slightest. Not only does it contribute to better fuel mileage, but it also reduces air pollution, so it’s a win/win in my book.

I really don’t understand all the hate that it gets. To me, it’s essentially invisible. Are most of you simply major control freaks that don’t like the computer taking direct control of the engine from you? 😛 (Just to be perfectly clear, this is humor, not a poke at anyone. We all like and dislike things by our own individual natures.)
