With a whopping 110 miles on my brand new, freshly detailed, head turning MDX, I'm a happy camper about now. What an awesome vehicle! Just a quick story, then a question or two. Like many of you I'm sure (though you probably won't admit it), I'm a Star Trek fan. Especially the newer shows. Anyway, have any of you seen that Honda Accord Coupe commercial where the guy is pretending he's a starship captain? That's how I feel in the MDX, especially at night, with the NAVI on, and the voice directing me...engage number one!! :) My friend said it's like being in the Delta Flyer. The Acura symbol even looks like the Startrek symbol! Now if only the MDX had phasors for rude drivers...

Anyway,

1. Have any of you seen a clear bra for the MDX yet? (shields, if you will)
2. What is the best leather application for the seats? How often should it be applied?

I'll admit it to, yes I love Star Trek and I did notice that the Acura symbol does look like the one on their uniforms. LOL !!!!

I would say it is safe to say the MDX feels like a Flagship.
A delta flyer perhaps.....heehee..LOL ! That's too funny !

MDX, motorcycles, star trek....what next ?!

LOL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:D

"Engage !"
"Make it so"

OK...that's enough..........

Yes, a clear bra is available for the MDX. Check out xpel.com. They don't have it listed on their web site, but, I got an e-mail from a member of the design team on 12/14/00 stating that he just finished the MDX paint protection and headlamp kits. If you call them they might be able to send one to you. Now, who can I get to install it...

Nothing to ashamed of!!! Star Trek fan here since the original series. I only watched the reruns since I wasn't around in '67, but those kept me busy until '87 when ST:TNG came onto the scene.

If you play quake, you may have seen me around with my favorite moniker - MkItSoNo1 :)

New series in the works for end of this year I hear!

No answers to your questions, but just wanted to let you know were out here.

I agree.
The millennium look and feel and the emblem make me feel like I'm a part of the Federation. I noticed it as soon as I brought it home.

Ah yes, A treker I am indeed. Glad to know I have company!

Yes, I'd like to thinkl the X is the flagship, Acura4Life. I'd love to talk about transporter technology, heisenburg compensators, warp field theory, particle physics, temporal mechanics, spacial analysis... maybe at another time...:2: :D

good question on the leather treatments. i would like this aswer as well.

if you really want the feel of star trek (the origional series especially) try the handspring treo. it feels like a communicator especially when in speakerphone mode.
