Great post!

100% agree about West End for alignments. Darren did a corner balance on my WRX after I installed my coilovers...amazing job. You know he is good when it takes a minimum of two weeks to book an appointment.

For Clear Bras, contact Sean at Ultimate Shield in Orange. He is the most professional, detail oriented installer I have used. They just did my MDX this past Friday and having had two previous installs on other vehicles, I now know what a proper install looks like :29:.

Any recommendations for reputable independent mechanics to service a 2004 Acura MDX (things like brake jobs, oil change, major service, electric work, etc.)?

I am in the San Gabriel area. Will be willing to drive a bit farther for a good mechanic.

Thanks!

Well, I have been calling honda and acura dealers as well as independent shops specializing acuras for a timing belt(kit) replacement with spark plugs. Quotes are from $850- $1261. Locations are San Fernando Valley- Antelope Valley.
I might do this major service within the next 30 days. I will let you know how it goes...

Gee- most of shops won't put it in writing...they just lost my business!

I just got my ride back after $1049.60 otd. Ouch! Well at least I saved some money doing a little bit of homework. I could have saved more buying the parts from Tim but I just don't want to wait any longer on this service. Another savings of around $45 on parts if I opted for Quest Gates t/belt kit with two (pulley?) but I went all OEM.

Timing belt service all related parts, spark plugs, (oil change-labor only)
Break down: (all honda parts)
T/belt........................$59.82

Any recommendations for Orange County? I have tried a few that claimed to focus on Honda ACURA, but they couldn't solve my 03 MDX issues and I had run back to dealer. Seems they all work mostly on Accord and Civics which were pretty "bullet" proof based on my past ownership of these vehicles.

Thanks for your feedback.

looking for a best dealer to service my 17 Acura MDX in Orange county, SoCal
So far, DCH Tustin has been ok. They give me pushback on some warranty though. Keep getting the "it's normal" bs. At that point i usually go to South Coast Acura, which most of the time results in getting things fixed, but they're a smaller dealer, so they don't always have the best techs available.
