Hey All -

So I plan to replace the driver's seat bottom leather with OEM replacement (the original is torn and the pad is showing, etc).

According to the window sticker, my 06 MDX has Ebony interior...however, on the official Acura parts website there is no reference to Ebony color - only Graphite Black, here's another example:

Is Ebony and Graphite Black the same color perhaps? If not, anyone have the proper part number?

Thanks!

You might want to call your Acura dealer and give the parts guy your VIN to be sure.

I think there were only 3 interior colors that year a black/charcoal, grey, and tan. "Saddle" is tan.

On a separate note, depending on how settled your foam is esp on the side you enter, you might need to add a 1/4-1/2 inch layer of new foam to keep the new leather looking taut.

Here's what I did to fix the lumpy / flat foam in my driver's seat. FYI, since those photos, the left bottom bolster has smoothed out and looks really good, especially after I hit it with some black shoe polish (and wiped it down thoroughly to make sure I wouldn't be wearing it). I also did the passenger's seat (after my wife felt how nice the driver's seat felt after the fix). Not especially difficult, though you will probably want to invest in some hog ring pliers and hog rings to put it all back together with a minimal amount of swearing.
