Does anyone know if the heaters and or defrosters can be set to stay on when the car is turned off, so that the remote starter will turn it all on? I had the impression that some of those functions were electronic - not mechanical - and wouldn't stay on when the car is turned off.

If you mean the seat heaters, they definately will come on when you remote start the MDX as they are mechanical switches. Also, the HVAC system will come on at the same temperature setting that it was on when the vehicle was turned off. I don't think the REAR DEFROST will come on, and I'm not sure about the regular defrost. I'd need to test it to know for sure.
