Has anyone tried to register their MDX in the owner's area of acura.com? When I put in the VIN of my MDX, it gave me an error message that said it was an invalid VIN. I then tried to register without the VIN and when I went to select a model, MDX was not an option.

Just wondering if any of you knew anything about this and if there was any value to registering at the website, and if so, why is there no MDX listed under model selections.

Well, I registered a month or so ago and, went to the owner's link section and got the message that I hadn't registered any vehicles. It was working a couple weeks ago.......

Something is wrong!

I registered both of my Acuras a few weeks ago. I looked at the site last week, and both were still there. When I logged in today, it only shows my '91 Integra; the MDX is gone. I hope there isn't some sinister meaning to this (are we such a rowdy bunch that they are disowning us?

I tried to reregister the MDX, and it wouldn't take my VIN and didn't show MDX in the list for me either . Like so many commercial sites Acura.com doesn't have any decent way to inform the operators that something is wrong with their site. They seem to think that any problem we are having is at our end, so the FAQ should be all we need. (I just struggled with a similar problem at Vanguard.com, so this is touchy area for me.)

Looks like I opened a can

I really thought I was unable to register my MDX because the manufacturer had not yet been notified that I had purchased that particular vehicle.

Yet with the replies it appears that there is a problem with the Acura website.

Let me know if you see it has been repaired.

For those of you that were on it, what did it provide you in relation to your MDX?

Mike I don't think it has anything to do with you buying it. I think it is more of it being recorded when it s finished being built and recorded. When you register Im sure it compares it with a DB. When I registered my wifes Civic at the Honda site,all it really did was give you a place to enter you maintenance records. Give you a list of recalls, some FAQ and suggested maintanace intervals.

I don't think it's working again. It did take my VIN number and showed me the make and trim but hitting submit just takes you back to add a vehicle. The screen says that I have no vehicles in my profile. Even when you don't use the VIN# and choose the make and trim manually it isn't accepted. Guess I'll try back when it works.

Still my question is, what does this do for me? What's the advantage about being registered at the site?
