I'll try to take a few more pictures when we get a little more light. Hopefully the sun will sneak out in a little while. These pictures make it look a little darker than it actually is.

Oooohhhh, that color looks nice. Red rock might have overtaken silver for 2nd place on my personal list of favorite MDX colors :) I look forward to seeing it in person, thanks for the pics Roger.
Redrock rocks!

Not that anyone cares, but here is my rankings of the MDX colors i have seen in person or in pictures
1. SS
2. Black
3. Redrock
4. GG
5. White
6. Mahogany
7. Beige
You the man

Roger,

Thanks so much for taking the time to take a post those pictures.

I really appreciate it!!!

If you rated the colors based on the pictures Roger posted, it should then be

1. Mahogany
2. Red
.....

Red looks significantly different in light.
I also updated my on-order report so you can compare build dates and colors.

I'll try to take some more Redrock pics tomorrow. One will be delivered in the morning but the other one I should have a couple of days.
Roger -- you are awesome!

I only wish I lived in Portland -- you would be my salesman in a heartbeat.

I've learned so much information from you that it has helped me deal with salesman -- who is completely clueless and lied to me about my build date. I finally got the real build date from the manager yesterday and it coincides with your list.

Thanks for taking care of us!
Interesting, you can compare the colour to the Magma Red MB SL and the Firepepper Red Acura CL in the background.
Drew,
I had the Redrock MDX pulled along side a Firepepper Red TL yesterday and the color is real close, so much so I had to look at the color codes to make sure they were different.
Reds

Roger ,

I actually stopped by another dealership last night because they had a Red Rock being prepped in the service bay. It still wasn't super bright in there, but the Red seemed a little burgundy in that light. I think that it would look more cranberry in direct sunlight.

Would you agree that it is kinda burgundy in flat light and brighter / more red in sunlight?
Dave,
I pulled one next to a Firepepper Red TL-3.2 yesterday and it looked very close, so much so I checked the color codes to make sure they were different, they were, but it was hard for me to tell the difference.
I did a little checking, and the paint code on the Red Rock Pearl is a new code that Acura has not used before. Heres the two for it and the Firepepper Red.

R519P- RedRock Pearl
R507P- FirePepper Red

They sure look close.
I put a few more Redrock pics on the webpage, I finally got a few minutes of sunlight.

Thanks Roger

Thanks Roger -- you're the best -- you make this whole forum 100% more useful...

Thanks for the pictures. I finally saw my Red Rock MDX the first time. In fact it is the first time to see the real MDX in Red Rock... and that one is *mine* :p I must say it is hard to know what "red" it is on the computer becaues the screen images and monitors change the "true color". I don't think the MDX brochure reflected the red accurately, either. It is different red from the Acura 3.2 red and unlike other reds on the lot.

It is just beautiful... you got to see it yourself. The MDX Red! :D
Gotta say - that a gorgeous color! Think my 2nd MDX will be a RedRock! :D
Hi all-

Picked up my Redrock yesterday. The color looks just great when clean and detailed. Think it could use some pinstripping; what do you think?
I have to agree with RedrockMemphis and Lester, Redrock is gorgeous color. It looks much better in real compared to the pictures. I was wavering among different colors, but once I saw the redrock, the color choice became non negotiable.

Lester, the car looks without anything, pin stripes might make it look better, but there is nothing wrong with it the way it is.

BTW, I was programming my homelink last night and left the key in the ignition. It drained out the battery. Considering the fact that there wasn't' anything running, I thought it was strange that it drained it out in about 12 hrs.

Also, did anyone notice that the hood is not quite flush with the rest of the car on the front?

Song .... "I like you the way you are" IMHO And I won't try to make the MDX look like a Ford Explorer or Path Finder by doing all the personal dress-up pin stipes... When I paid for the car, that included paying for the overall Acura engineering and style that came with it.

Didn't understand what you meant on the hood. I can check it out this afternoon when I take delivery if you describe it more...
Redrock:

When the hood is closed, it should align with the rest of the body. It seems like the hood sticks further forward than the rest. Check it out, if you do not see an issue, then it's just my car. Good Luck with yours. Do make sure to check your air pressure before you leave. I was asked to do it, I asked for it, they said they know what they were doing ... unfortunately, they didn't.
