It's not dirt (at least not all of it) most of it is rotted rubber. Regardless of use, the sun and other elements will destory the rubber insert within months in some places (about 8 here in Miami with the added attraction of salt air).

I posted my fix in the "general" area. Maybe a mod would like to move it here. I just thought it would be seen by more people there.
