Hello, I tried to replace rear brake pads on my 2017 MDX AWD tech, but the caliper is stuck and I can't push it back out. Did anyone else have this issue? Does it have anything to do with the electronic unit on the caliper? I never encounter this issue before. If anyone has any solutions? recommendations? Greatly appreciated

Thanks,
Ed.

Tried that. It wouldn't budge. Could it have anything to do with the electronic parking brake? I never changed brakes before that have electric parking brake.

You need to use the display in the dashboard to put the brakes in service mode or you will do damage to the caliper.

I read elsewhere about unbolting the bracket for the ebrake which will then permit caliper to be removed but I haven't done it and I don't have an ebrake in my 2014. Check further on this site since I think I saw some references here.
