This has probably been talked about before but I checked the other subcategories and couldn't find any threads.

My girlfriend recently bought a used 2004 MDX and wants to replace the stock radio. I've done some research and apparently this isn't easy to do because the Navigation system as well as the RES is tied into the OEM radio. It also has the Bose amp and speaker system as well.

Has anyone had success keeping the Navigational system (I did read that you can get the NAV to work but there will not be voice prompts which is ok because she has a garmin) and the RES working with the new radio? I know the steering wheel controls takes a seperate module that can be purchased.

Thanks for any help.

1) No

2) The BOSE system changes the wiring, you would have to rewrite the jacks to somehow bypass it.

3) And why did you post this question under 'tires'?

Because this is my first post on the forum and I thought it would be put under general discussion with the other posts. I did not see the tire sub category.

But thanks for all the helpful information.
