Has anyone had success programming a key fob other than the silver MDX fob?

Also, is there a non-touring remote or do all of the remotes have seat position stickers on the back regardless of whether they can control the seat?

Yes, the non-touring models don't have the seat position numbers on the back. There are other threads about programming the fobs; do a Search. If I recall correctly, an MDX will accept a maximum of three fobs, according to the instructions in the service manual; if you program a fourth, the first won't work anymore.

To my knowledge there are no remotes that will work with MDX besides the silver MDX style fob. Can anyone say otherwise. BTW, I know about the programming instructions and that has nothing to do with my question.

Are you asking:

1 - Can an Acura fob for a non-MDX (e.g. CL/TL) be programmed for the MDX?

and/or

2 - Can a non-Acura fob be programmed for the MDX?

I have a CL and thought it would be nice if I only had to carry one fob but then realized that since they are parked next to each other, there may be problems.

A few years ago, I went to the web-site of the parent company of Alpine and discovered that one of their subsidiaries made the remote for the CL. I'm not sure if they are still a supplier and make the fob for the MDX.

It would be nice if there was multi-car fob available.

I posted earlier my experiences in programming the non-touring fob to a touring. Accoring to Tim, that's the only model they sell.
